Measuring Your SpaceUpdated a year ago

How do I measure my floor to determine how many tiles I need

Measuring your flooring correctly can be crucial to ensuring you purchase the correct amount of tiles for your project.  The best way to do this is to first, multiply length x width of your space.

For Example: if you have a room that measures 10 feet, 6” long x 10 feet wide, that equals 126” x 120” for a total of 15,120 square inches.

Lastly, divide that number by 144", like this: 15,120 / 144 = 105 square feet.

Each product page also features a room calculator that you can enter either the length and width of the room or the area of the room. You can use this to figure out how many tiles you need, as well as any overage.

Just click on “help me calculate.”. We  recommend purchasing extra mats in case you need to replace or add on to your space later.

Keep in mind our manufacturers update their lots overtime. Buying more tiles, helps ensure you get mats that are from the same lot and more consistent in color.
