Common Questions

How Thick of a Crash Pad Do I Need?

Since the purpose of a crash pad to is to help lessen the impact of your fall, we recommend at least having the standard 4" of foam protection.  The standard thickness is 3-4"

How do I know which size to choose?

Consider the space the mat will be under, how far you may be falling, and your level of comfort with the activities you will be performing.

Small Crash Pads are best for low impact activities.  Our Crash Pads are 4'x4'x4" thick.

Medium Crash Pads will also provide cushion for low impact activates and additional length for a larger space.  Our Medium Crash Pads are 4'x8'x 4" thick.

Large Crash Pads will provide impact for medium to high impact activities.  We have 2 sizes available in our large 4'x8'x8" and 4'x8'x12" thick.

*Please Note: Since we have not tested the mats for a fall rating, we recommend exercising caution with all activities you perform.

Can these Mats be used for Bouldering?

Bouldering(Rock Climbing) mats  have more layers of foam, so they offer added protection.

Our mats are more designed for indoor use and may not feel so lite carrying up a mountain.
